If locum doctors working in NHS Practices claim pension, as an NHS Practice you are required to pay pension contributions. Locums who work as limited liability company contractors are not eligible to claim pension.
If a locum doctor has claimed pension on a job, you will receive a completed pension Form A with the invoice through the Bookamed online application. On receipt of the pre-filled Pension Form A, you need to digitally sign and return the form to the Locum doctor via the Bookamed online application.
Please sign and return the pension form as soon as possible, as the locum doctor has just 10 weeks from when the last session in the vacancy was completed to submit any pension forms to their local area team.
